The College offers a one year diploma course in Pre-primary and Primary School Montessori Teaching. The Diploma provides job prospects in teaching capacities and equally in the integrated Child Development Project of GOVT. OF INDIA. The College will also follow the Syllabus of NATIONAL COUNCIL OF EDUCATION RESEARCH AND TRAINING.
The emphasis is on equipping the would-be teachers to educate Children along their natural trend of curiosity and playfulness and through non-abstract experiences. It distinctly differs from the conventional child teaching of imposing lesson and making memories. Creative childhood is its goal. As aids to such teacher ship training there is an arrangement of various charts, apparatus, models, rhymes, crafts work etc.
The session commences in the month of April and August/ September to terminate in March and July/ August.
Lessons are offered in English/ Bengali/ Hindi
Any woman who has passed at least the Madhyamik Examination or equivalent is eligible to apply for admission. The upper age limit is 35 years, though relaxable in exceptional cases. Candidates are needed to apply in printed forms available with prospectus form the college on 20 (Rupees Twenty only) or you can download the same from this website.
Photocopy of Mark sheet of Madhyamik Examination of Equivalent (Mark sheet copies of higher examination may also be attached). Photo copy of the Original Birth Certificate. Two Nos. passport size photographs.
Payment at the time of Admission Rs. 4500.00 (Rupees Four Thousand Five Hundred Only), Second installment will be paid 4500.00.
It is Rs. 600.00 per month payable in advance by the 15th every month.
Payment at the time of Admission should be made in cash and not in cheques. Examination fees to be paid before final examination.
If a student wants to withdraw before Final Examination from the College, she will not be provided with any transfer certificate.

1st Class - 600, 2nd Class - 450, 3rd Class - 340 (34% Marks in each Paper is Pass Mark).
THEORETICAL Class - Two Days for every week. PRACTICAL Class - One Day for every week.

Regular and Punctual attendance is very essential from the point of view of the study as well as examination. A student is required to attend 85% of class in each subject. If any student is absent without any intimation for three weeks or more, her name will be struck off from the register. In case of absence from the college under unavoidable circumstances, an Application for Leave must be submitted to the Principal of the college in writing. When the classes are going on, no student can leave the college or class room without permission of the Center-in-Charge. Any change of Residential Address must always be conveyed to the Principal of the college in writing. Loitering outside the college hours is strictly prohibited. W.M.T College Students should be profile, respectful and dedicated to learning. Misbehavior and use of foul language are punishable. Holidays and other vacations will be notified in later stage. The course is incomplete without Practical Classes.
